Storage cards for Digital Cameras.. SD and XD
Tuesday, June 30th, 2009It didn’t seem so long ago when digital camera storage cards were 16 and 32 megabytes, but are now commonly 1 to 4 gigabytes. One word of caution… if you have an older style digital camera, then a 4 gigabyte SD card may not work in your camera. It is not only about the amount of storage with these cards, but also the rate of transfer. Normally cards will have a X (times sign) on it to indicate the rate of transfer. It is handy to have a faster rate of transfer card if you have an SLR (Single Lens Reflex) camera which shoots a number of frames per second.
